This journey usually takes about an hour.
After leaving ferry, don't follow signs to Roscoff
town centre, instead look for signs to MORLAIX.
The road
from the terminal area soon comes to a T junction near a level crossing,
turn left.
Now follow
'AUTRES DIRECTIONS' towards the N12, the main East/West DUAL carriageway.
This will put you on the D58, signposted to MORLAIX
and BREST, a road of many roundabouts, at one of which the BREST
traffic is sent off in one direction and the MORLAIX traffic in
another. Follow the D58 MORLAIX vers RN12.
As you approach MORLAIX the road number changes
for a while to the D19. Now follow signs to St BRIEUC on to the
RN12.
After about 25 minutes you will be approaching
GUINGAMP and see a panel depicting the town, take the very next
exit marked to GUINGAMP (Ouest), and turn left at the end of the
exit slipway. At the roundabout ignore the sign to GUINGAMP (Ouest),
and take the next exit marked to LANNION.
This
puts you on the dual carriageway, and be prepared to take the first
exit after half a mile to PLOUISY , La ROCHE DERRIEN. You will immediately
arrive at a small roundabout and should take the second exit which
puts you on a section of by-pass, following La Roche-Derrien signs.
Follow this road for a mile, and go straight across
the next roundabout. After a further mile turn left at the final
roundabout.
You will next see the large red and white buildings
of the UCA on the right.
Soon after you will find a right turn to SQUIFFIEC
and LANVOLLON, the D32.
Follow this road into Squiffiec and take the left
turn at 'Le Garfield' bar at the crossroads.
After 300 metres take the right turn indicated
to Manoir de Kercadic. After 100 metres turn left, and after a further
300 metres turn right.
You will then see the dolmen and Manoir
de Kercadic on your left. |
